George Wanes LLB (Hons) BA
George works in Bazzani Scully Priddle’s property, commercial litigation and hospitality practice areas. He advises clients on issues related to hospitality and commercial law, as well as aspects of gaming, planning and liquor licensing applications.
George’s most recent experience in these areas includes:
- Drafting and negotiating commercial leases, both LIV and non-LIV, variation and transfer of leases; as well as working on breach of lease notices and rental recovery actions. George has also advised on a range of lease issues and the application of the Retail Leases Act.
- Working on a range of property matters, including commercial, residential and off the plan developments; preparing and working on sale of business transactions; advising purchasers on Section 32 statements and off the plan contracts; drafting sale contracts and Section 32 statements; and preparing mortgage documentation and advising banks on documentation and new mortgage laws.
- Assisting senior lawyers on a range of litigation matters, including acting for insurers; defending claims and employment disputes; and acting on litigation matters involving superannuation death benefit claims and disputes.
George graduated from Monash University with a LLB (Hons) and BA in 2012. He joined the team at Bazzani Scully Priddle in August 2013 and was admitted to practice in November 2013.
