Brett Taback LLB (Hons) BA
Brett works in Bazzani Scully Priddle’s property, commercial and hospitality practice areas. As well as broad commercial experience, he also has particular expertise in property law in relation to ‘off-the-plan’ developments, commercial leasing, commercial and residential conveyancing and mortgages.
Brett’s most recent experience in these areas includes:
- Working on the sale and acquisition of large scale commercial businesses and properties, advising clients and managing these transactions through to settlement.
- Helping landlords negotiate and draft lease agreements with their tenants, and advising tenants on their rights and obligations under their lease arrangements.
- Helping hotels, pubs and retail businesses to register trade marks to protect their intellectual property, as well as working with clients to successfully overcome objections to trade mark applications from IP Australia. Brett has also drafted confidentiality deeds to assist clients protect their non-registrable intellectual property rights.
Brett graduated from Monash University with an LLB (Hons) and BA in Psychology in 2012. He commenced his legal traineeship at Bazzani Scully Priddle in February 2013 and was admitted to practice in March 2014.
